Last week we explored the bays of Ireland. This week we are learning about the seas of Europe: Play this game (Game LINK) to help you learn where the seas are located. I wonder (with practice today) who will manage to get a score of 100% in less than 1 minute. Let me know in your daily reflection. Later in the week I will ask you to do research on one of these seas and create a slide in powerpoint in another class collaboration project. |

The 6th class girls planned and organised our fantastic World Book Day Fundraiser Bargain Book Sale this year. They raised a massive €180 euro for classroom resources, which they will research and purchase as their legacy to the school.
They completed a report on their work on this project to date. Thank you to the Parents' Association committee for their input in developing this project. All pupils benefitted from their hard work and had such a fun day! More pictures from Room 1 to follow!
Pupils in 4th, 5th and 6th class were presented with an award for their project on Designing an Archimedes Screw at the ESB Science Blast in the RDS this week.
The goal of the Science Blast programme is to ignite children’s innate curiosity about the world around them and aims to promote curiosity, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking in children at primary school age to enable them to better respond to the challenges of the future.
This epitomises our school values and the 21st century skills that we aim to develop in Faughart CNS.
Pupils also had a blast at the two science shows; one about tiny things and the other about football physics. It was a brilliant experience!
