A crafty Christmas

Room 1 had a very crafty Christmas as they utilised different materials and techniques to make a series of Winter themed collages and decorations.

The children's crepe paper robins were displayed in the halla for the school play while their sock snowmen brightened up the classroom and their Christmas wreaths welcomed any visitors to the Super Seven space.

Peace Proms workshop

On December 12th, our peace proms choir travelled to the National Indoor arena in Blanchardstown to participate in the Peace Proms workshop in anticipation of their performance in the RDS in February 2019.

After weeks of rehearing the choir sang their hearts out and represented Faughart CNS spectacularly well and their teachers were very proud of them!

Roll on February 3rd where the children from 2nd - 6th class will sing as part of a 1000 strong choir, accompanied by a full orchestra and several talented soloists.

Hot chocolate!

The newest addition to room 1 has been keeping a close eye on the boys and girls as they've painted, counted, danced and pranced in preparation for the Christmas play.

With all this hard work, Elfie thought the super seven had earned a well deserved treat so he left us a note with a mysterious instruction. . . to go to the staffroom and look through the cupboards!

What did we find? Chocolate drinking powder, marshmallows and milk, with packets of buttons and 7 small cups.

Beautiful Birds in our Locality

Talented grandparent, Freddie McArdle, gave our new school these beautiful photographs that he captured of local birds.

Such a generous and thoughtful gift!
