This is our final week using the work packs so make sure to put in an extra special effort! 

Thank you so much to all the pupils in room 1, room 2 and room 3 who made pictures, cards, sang  songs and wished myself and Mr D'Arcy a happy birthday this weekend. 

You certainly are the most amazing students.

We are revising the theme of weather this week. Please watch the lesson Cén sórt aimsire atá ann?

Follow the link to access the Luascartaí. Practice the vocabulary by clicking the flashcard and displaying the picture.

   - Students should repeat each term as it is introduced. 

   - Students and parents should assign a simple action to each word.

   - Play the matching game by clicking the 'match' icon in the left hand column



Take another look at an analog clock or an analog watch. 

- Explain or elicit form your child that there is a big hand and a small hand, have your child identify these.

- Look at the numbers on an analog clock, count them forwards and backwards

- Move both hands on this interactive analog clock and ask your child to identify what number each hand is pointing to.

   Allow your child to move the hands and to ask you questions also. 


 Junior infants worksheet:


1. Fill in the missing hours on the clock


     Draw the small hand to indicate 

     "9 o'clock". 


Senior infants worksheet: 


1. Look at each clock on the schedule and 

    record the correct hour or "o'clock". 


 Fruit break - Take a ten minute break and grab a healthy snack. 



Junior infants: 


Listen to the jolly phonics song for /qu/ at 10:28 and practice the actions for the /qu/ sound by making a duck's beak using your two hands and say "qu, qu, qu".  



Junior infants worksheet:


1. Find the /qu/ colour and draw worksheet.             2. Colour in the /qu/ sound. Read each



3. Draw and colour a picture for each word.  


Senior infants worksheet:


1.Find the third reading comprehension                2. Read the comprehension aloud before

    worksheet                                                               answering the questions.

                                                                                    Parents should read each question and

                                                                                    it's choice answers aloud for their child.




Junior infants:

- Begin reading Leek hotpot and revise it until Wednesday.

- Junior infants should read a minimum of three pages per day.  

Senior infants group 1: 

- Begin reading your first reader Please do not sneeze and revise it until Wednesday.

- Senior infants should read a minimum of five pages per day.

Senior infants group 2: 

- Begin reading your first reader Kipper and the trolls and revise it until Wednesday 

- Senior infants should read a minimum of five pages per day.


Lunch - Have your lunch and get some fresh air.
