Maidin mhaith gach duine and welcome to Week 10 of learning from home.
This week is slightly shorter than usual. As a result there will be no specific Gaeilge vocabulary for this week and while parents are free to utilise Oxford readers to continue independent readers, there will be no prescribed reading for this week only.

Use this morning warm up Go Noodle - The Pirate Life to get your learner alive, alert, awake and enthusiastic!
1. Find the 'Write' worksheet. 2. Ask your child to show using fingers
Read aloud the nursery rhyme of how many bones were in the cupboard,
"Old Mother Hubbard". encouraging the use of vocabulary
such as "zero, none, empty, nothing".
Practice forming number zero.
1. Find the add worksheet. 2. Calculate the total of each sum by
drawing lollipops or using your fingers.
Fruit break - Grab some fruit and take a ten minute break.
Revise last week's /ou/ phonics lesson.
Pause the video at various points to seek answers or a response from your child. Each student should practice reading the /ou/ words in the video.
Listen to the jolly phonics song for /ou/ at 10:46 and practice the actions for the /ou/ sound by pretending your finger is a needle and pricking your thumb, saying "ou, ou, ouch!".
Junior Infants worksheet:
1. Find the /ou/ colour and draw worksheet. 2. Colour in the /ou/ sound. Read each
3. Draw and colour a picture for each
Senior infants have both a reading comprehension and a word identification worksheet today.
1. Find the first reading comprehension 2. Read the comprehension aloud before
worksheet answering the questions.
Parents should read each question and
it's choice answers aloud for their child.
Have a Shake Break
1. Find the first 'word identification' 2. Look at the picture in each box and
worksheet. circle the correct word.
Lunch - Eat some lunch and exercise outside.
