 Pack a lunchbox today, choosing from all or some of the items in our vocabulary list.

 Practice packing different items and allow your child to direct you in packing a lunch also.

Follow the link to practise counting in tens. 

Ask your child, when counting in tens

- What comes after twenty? (Encourage use of the song if stuck)

- What comes after fifty? 

- What comes after ninety? 

 

Junior infants 

Complete the following counting tasks

- How many shelves are in your fridge?

- How many glasses are in your kitchen cupboard?

- How many wardrobes are in your house?

- How many window sills are there on the first floor of your house? (Revisit how many windows there are on the first floor of the house. Is it the same answer? Why/Why not?) 

- How many steps will it take you to get from the front door to the kitchen? 

- How many toothbrush are in your bathroom? Count in Irish

 

Fruit break - Grab some fruit and take a ten minute break.
