Friday handwriting

Every Friday the children engage in structured writing activities. We have been focusing on the use of a full stop at the end of every sentence.

We use a pull and release motion similar to that of a gear stick change and say "Fulllllll stop!"

Junior infants writing

Sentence work - "He has a tie" and "We see a bee."

 1. Highlight the sounds revised this week, 'ie' .                 2. The children should read both sentences

and  'ee'. Identify any tricky words.                                   and copy them into the available space.

                                                                                                 Don't forget the full stop!

Senior infants dictation

Dictation week 2 - "We see a big bee", "The pie has flies" and "He has a green tie".

 1. Find the parent/guardian dictation                    2. Read each sentence aloud slowly and

page in work pack B.                                            clearly to your child so they can write the

                                                                                   sentences on the adjoining worksheet.
