Please play the following dice games:


1. )

   Roll and build 

        You will need a dice and blocks or lego bricks

             - Gather a collection of  blocks or lego bricks. Take it in turns to roll the dice. Collect that number of blocks and build a tower. The first 

                person with a tower of 10 wins.


    Roll and collect

        You will need a dice and cutlery or fruit or coins

             - Gather items similar to those listed above.  Take it in turns to roll the dice. Collect that number of items and the

               first person with a set of 10 wins.


2. )

   Dice yahtzee 

       You will need a dice, two coloured pens or pencils and paper

Junior infants and Senior infants 

           - Draw a table with the numbers 1-6 in the first column. Each player gets a different colour pen or pencil. 

           - Tick the corresponding number when you roll it. The first person to roll every number, wins. 


Senior infants 

           - Those with two dices can roll both and add the two numbers together, to then tick a number between 1-12. Again the first with all                            numbers ticked, is the winner. 

          - Make sure to work out the addition sums using pictures.



Fruit break - Grab some fruit and take a ten minute break.

Please watch today's phonic lesson. 

Pause the video at various points to seek answers or a response from your child. Each student should practice reading the 'ee' words in the video. 

Junior infants worksheet:


1. Find the 'ee' worksheet.                              2. Colour in the 'ee' sounds. Read each word.


3. Draw and colour a picture for each             4. An adult should write additional 'ee' words on the

Senior infants have been split into group 1 and group 2 and have received different worksheets as a result. 

Senior infants worksheet group 1:


1. Find the 'ee' brochure and read the story.            2. Read the story a second time. Colour a smiley face.

Tricky words 

Junior infants : Teach new 'By' and 'One'

Revise all the pink tricky words so far by playing a matching game. 

Senior infants :

Revise all your tricky word balls. 



Junior infants

- Begin reading your second reader and revise it throughout the week.

- Junior infants should read a minimum of three pages per day.  

Senior infants

- Begin reading your fourth reader and revise it until Friday.

- Senior infants should read a minimum of five pages per day.



Lunch - Eat some lunch and exercise outside. 



Get groovy watching and copying The Five senses song.

Encourage your child to sing along as infant pupils primarily learn through the use of songs, poems, rhymes and riddles. 


Explain that today we will be focusing on the second sense of TOUCH. 

       -  Make a collage


 1. Collect different materials or fabrics from inside your house or the surrounding outside areas. Try to include both man made and natural                 materials. 

 2. Review your collection and discuss the texture or appearance of each material. Encourage your child to use some of the following adjectives

3. Arrange the materials on a piece of A4 card or paper and secure them with glue or sellotape. 

4. Hang your collage on the fridge, kitchen cupboard, bedroom door or in the window.
